SIGHT 015: MONDOLI JUU

This sight is situated 50km from Arusha town on the way to the National Parks of Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro. The name Monduli originates from place in Monduli Juu where a wealthy Maasai ancestor called Monduli used to live in the former German colonial time. Monduli juu is a cluster of four small villages namely Emaicete, Enguili, Eluwai and Mfereji. Each name has got its great meaning. To do; Medicinal trip, visit a Maasai herbs doctor, maasai women who make traditional jewel, hike thru the rain forest and a rest at astonishing panoramas overlooking the Rift Valley, Oldonyo Lengai and Lake Natron.
