The Park located 120 km South of Kigoma, covering an area of 1577 sq km. It is a sanctuary of chimpanzees, about 1000 chimps may be observed in their natural habit of up to 30 communities. Other primates include baboon, colobus monkeys, other animals include buffalo, bush pig, elephant, giraffe, leopard, lion, porcupine, roan antelope, warthog, zebra and hyenas.
