The park is well known of it lies between the high way from Dar thru the center of the park. It is located 383 km South of Dar es Salaam and North of Selous-covering an area of 3230 sq. km. Principal features flood plain, open grasslands, with the mountain range border the park in two sides. Wildlife: Lion, Wild dog, Elephant, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, hartebeest, Python, Monitor lizard, crocodile and hippo. Birds: over 300 species of birds have been observed including open bill stock and many of which one Eurasia migrants. Accommodation: wildlife lodge, Vuma hill tented camp, Fox’s Safari camp, Kikoboga camp and camping sites. |
